As one of six campuses of the world’s first business school (est. 1819), the Berlin campus adheres to five principles which are based on humanistic European values and are indispensable for every manager:
There are around 4,000 students on our degree programs, representing 90 different nationalities. In total, 125 research-active professors from over 20 countries teach at ESCP Europe, which helps our students to easily communicate with other nationalities and learn about many diverse cultural habits. This rich experience allows them to deal and cooperate with counterparts and colleagues from other countries throughout the world. Moreover, as their education is multilingual in nature, they acquire important qualifications to help them compete in the global (economic) market. Back to top
ESCP Europe’s Berlin campus has been in existence since 1973 and is recognised by German governmental authorities as a scientific academic school. Furthermore, it was the first academic school to be officially acknowledged by each of the three international accreditation agencies – the AACSB, AMBA and EFMD (EQUIS) –therefore gaining the “Triple Crown”. ESCP Europe is listed regularly at the top of worldwide and national rankings. Innovative and practical-oriented teaching is linked with well-founded research, and we offer a variety of general management degree programs as well as specialised management degree programs, executive education and a doctoral program. Our curricula are innovative and oriented on the requirements of enterprises and companies acting within the global arena. In our research we emphasise classical-traditional as well as modern-innovative topics of business administration. Back to top
The German poet Johann Wolfgang von Goethe once said, “The best education one can find is by travelling” (literally: “Die beste Bildung findet ein gescheiter Mensch auf Reisen”). ESCP Europe faces the challenges of globalisation by providing a ‘multi-campus-model’ for its students. With our five interconnected campuses in Berlin, Paris, London, Madrid and Turin, we offer truly transnational education which goes far beyond a semester abroad. During their studies, ESCP Europe students switch between two or three of the five campuses. Consequently, not only do they develop flexibility and the ability to adapt to new circumstances, but also they get to learn about important economic and political places in Europe. Furthermore, 77 associated partner universities, 18 double-diploma partnerships and over 100 more academic partnerships worldwide connect the students with the global market and offer them the opportunity to go from the centre of Europe to anywhere in the world. An awareness of European and global thinking and acting is therefore anchored in their psyche from the very outset of their education. In this sense ESCP Europe is a truly European and international business school, which not only claims but also lives through a European identity while taking a global perspective. Back to top
Our professors and experts are outstanding in their chosen fields of classical and future-oriented business administration. Moreover, we have a huge network of over 40,000 active alumni in over 150 countries. Through lectures and courses given by leading personalities in world economics, we provide our students with direct first-hand knowledge. Back to top
ESCP Europe’s Berlin campus has excellent contacts with top companies in Germany and Europe through cooperation partnerships with organisations and other partners. We operate on an interface between science and practice, so we stimulate our students to create their own networks and advise them through our career service on how to find internships and job opportunities. We also enhance the dialogue between our school and companies, thus enabling innovation and new approaches to economic thinking in the German and European economies. Back to top
These five principles lead to our main target: An excellent and comprehensive source of education for the best students from across the world, who live and represent a European identity in a global context and will be part of the ethically and responsible elite of tomorrow’s management.
