A tradition of the Paris Campus
The French television documentary series "Des Racines et des Ailes" filmed Caroline Jean (Master in Management, Class of 2011) and the ESCP Europe Rowing Team "Club Aviron ESCP Europe" (video in French).
Sports are not only a tradition at ESCP Europe since 1882, but also an opportunity for students to continue or start new sports, in the heart of Paris.
By doing sports you can, if you are a pre-Master student, validate your elective course “personal development”, by your implication, participation, motivation, progression and acquisition in one of the sport activities that we offer, trained by an ESCP Europe teacher.
We offer 30 different sports and a sports service made of two managers, 32 professors/trainers (4400 course hours), 2 sports rooms (one fitness/muscle-building room) on the Campus and 16 other sportive infrastructures elsewhere, organise 350 games per year as well as 9 training camps outside Paris to prepare for the Fédération Française du Sport Universitaire championships (FFSU is the French federation for sports in higher education) .
More than 1,000 students are signed up for 1 or 2 sports, nearly 600 have a FFSU licence to compete and are part of one of the 19 group sports’ teams or the 3 individual sports’ teams in the FFSU championship or the French cup of "ESC" (Business schools).

In the academic year 2011-2012, the ESCP Europe women's team reached the Round of 16 in the French Grandes Ecoles Championship.

In 2011-2012:
- The ESCP Europe men's team won the French Grandes Ecoles Championship, in the 1st division.
- The ESCP Europe women's team won the French, the Paris region and the Paris Grandes Ecoles Championships.

Rowing
In 2011-2012:
- The ESCP Europe men’s eights reached the 2nd place of the French Grandes Ecoles Cup and of the Kings in Chantilly and were 3rd of the Regatta on the Seine in Paris.
- The ESCP Europe women's eights reached the 4th place of the University French Championships. They were winners of the French Grandes Ecoles Cup, the Regional University Championship, the Gélis Cup in Choisy and the Régataïades in Nantes. They also reached the 2nd place of the Kings and of the Regatta on the Seine.
- The ESCP Europe four women’s pair were the University Regional Vice-Champion and reached the 2nd place of the Régataïades in Nantes.

In 2011-2012:
- The ESCP Europe men’s team was Winner of TOP EIGHT and Finalist of the sevens Tournament Orange in Marcoussis.
Rugby (sevens)
- The ESCP Europe women’s team was Academic Vice-Champion of Ovale U Paris, Winner of the Orange Tournament and Finalist of TOP EIGHT in Marcoussis.

In 2011-2012, the ESCP Europe women’s team was Winner of the ESC French Cup, and was University Paris and Paris region Vice-Champion.
