The primary objective of the General Management Programme (GMP) is to provide participants with the cross-functional knowledge and managerial skills required to become more effective managers. It aims to provide a 'helicopter view' of the main managerial disciplines and equip participants with an understanding of the driving forces of the business environment and organizational behavior.
The GMP is an integral part of the European Executive MBA (Berlin Track), constituting its 9 Core Courses. This allows participants to progress to the Executive MBA by attending its 5 International Seminars and 12of its Electives, and also by completing an International Consulting Project, over a period of 18 months. Both - the tuition fees that have been paid and the academic credits obtained - will be validated for the Executive MBA.
The GMP's structure is fully compatible with an executive’s schedule and requires a minimal number of days off work. The Core Courses at ESCP Europe's Berlin Campus take place within three intensive weeks.
In 2013 these weeks are:
Module Week 1 (Mon-Sat): Mar 4 to 9
Module Week 2 (Mon-Sat): Jun 3 to 8
Module Week 3 (Mon-Sat): Sep 2 to 7
The GMP covers the following Core Courses:
In addition, participants create a unique network of peers, coming from diverse educational and professional backgrounds, which not only enhances the learning experience but also provides the opportunity to generate new business and long lasting friendships.
