My choice to apply for the Ph.D. program at ESCP Europe was based upon the suitability of the level of autonomy and guidance the program to best building the foundation of my academic career. Indeed, already in the first year of the Ph.D. program, students are encouraged to begin their thesis project, which is not the case of the majority of businesses schools. This freedom to manage my research rather than be directed is very important for developing autonomy, a fundamental skill for becoming a scholar.

How to apply
Degree candidates on the ESCP Europe Ph.D. programme must hold a graduate degree that entitles them to apply for a Ph.D. in their home country. Qualifying applicants will have to present their research project orally to a jury and undergo language tests. Two of the ESCP Europe campuses may host the degree candidates: Berlin or Paris.
Four our September 2012 Paris intake, deadlines for application are :
First session : 30 January 2012
Second session: 14 May 2012
Interviews and tests will take place about two weeks after the application dates.
