Practical Details

Application process

The first step in the ESCP Europe Ph.D. Programme selection process is the application file.
Candidates selected by the admissions jury after this first screening will be requested by individual letter to report to the ESCP Europe Paris Campus, for interview and examinations.

The entrance examination includes:

  • An individual presentation: candidates have one hour to present their motivation to the interview panel. No preparation is necessary for this interview. The date and the time will be set individually for each candidate.
  • An English language test (written and oral)
  • A French language test (oral) for non native applicants.

Financing

The annual programme fee is 7500 euros. The annual registration fee is 110 euros.
Grants opportunities can be provided:

  • by the French Government (http://www.diplomatie.gouv.fr).
  • by the government of the country of origin (foreign students), depending on the country.

ESCP Europe scholarship

The Scholarship Committee, on the basis of students' personal resources, family and social situation, will select certain students who will join the ESCP Europe Research Teams as Research Assistants.
They will:

  • Qualify for a monthly allowance of 1500 euro and not be required to pay the annual programme fee (7500 euro),
  • Have access to the office facilities for Research Assistants.

Parallel to their research activities, and as future management professors, the doctoral students are offered an opportunity to teach within the different programmes of the school.
This teaching experience, under the guidance of a tutor, will be an integral part of the scholarship holder's doctoral course.
