Frequently Asked Questions

E - Fees, Cost of Living, Accommodation

  1. How much are the tuition fees?

Tuition fees for the 2017 intake will amount to € 13,100 per year, plus an additional €360 in first registration fees.

  2. How much is the application fee?

For 2017, the application fee is €170, non-refundable.

  3. When do I have to pay the fees?

Application fees must be paid at application time and cannot be refunded.

Students admitted into the programme will be required to pay a non-refundable €2,500 deposit within three weeks of admission to confirm their place in the programme. This amount is non-refundable.

Students failing their last year of high school or the university entrance exam will however be eligible for a refund. The deposit covers the 1st registration fees (€360 for intake in 2017) and part of the 1st academic year’s tuition fees.

  4. Can I apply for a scholarship?

The ESCP Europe scholarship programme is based on a mix of criteria, which include merit, diversity and financial needs.

Scholarships are competitive and cover 25% to 50% of the tuition fees (the 1st registration fee is not covered by the scholarship). They are renewable each year on condition of academic achievement, behaviour and involvement in the ESCP Europe community.

Applications for scholarships: students wishing to be considered for scholarships will apply once they have been admitted to the programme and will need to submit financial information (evidence of household income), in addition to documents previously provided

Admitted students applying for scholarships will be notified of the decision before they have to pay the non-refundable €2,500 deposit (which is due even if a scholarship is awarded).

  5. If I withdraw from the programme, will I have to continue paying?

Will I be refunded? Could the exams I passed in ESCP Europe be validated by another higher education institution?

If you decide to leave the programme, tuition fees already paid cannot be refunded. Tuition fees for the current academic year are also due but you are not liable for tuition fees of further years.

Courses validated during your studies at ESCP Europe may be validated on a case by case basis by other higher education institutions, on the basis of the number of ECTS (European Credits Transfer System) obtained, as our programme is fully compliant with the Bologna process introduced by the European Union in 1999.

  6. Accommodation

A list of student residences is available for our students.

We also maintain a list of flat shares, which are used by our outgoing students, which can be of interest to incoming students.

  7. What is the cost of living like on your campuses?

In order to evaluate the total costs of your studies, please take into account the cost of living on the different campuses which are in the range of €940 - 1,700 per month (see indications below).

  8. Do I need a visa to study in London and how can I get it?

    • Students from the European Economic Area (EEA) or Switzerland do not need a visa.

    • Other students need to apply for visas once they are admitted (e.g. Tier 4 visa in the UK).

    • Shengen visas are valid in all our campus countries but the UK.

The following website provides entry requirements to the UK for all nationalities: www.gov.uk/government/organisations/uk-visas-and-immigration

    See also: www.gov.uk/tier-4-general-visa

    • You can only apply for a UK visa once you are admitted to the programme and once you receive a CAS (Confirmation of Academic Sponsorship) letter from ESCP Europe London. Proof of English proficiency is requested in the form of an IELTS test, taken at one of the centres authorised by the UK Border Agency.

    • Application delay: you need to allow plenty of time to make your application and to start gathering documents. You should seek advice about making an application at least 90 days before your new course is due to start.

    • We therefore advise candidates to apply for the programme in April at the latest.

    • Your new visa will be valid for travel no more than one month before the official start date of your new course, as stated in your visa letter.

    • Application cost: Tier 4 (General) student applications cost £310 (correct for all visa applications made outside of the UK).
