  1. What is the Master in European Business (MEB)?

    The Master in European Business (MEB) is a one-year, two-country postgraduate programme in general management with emphasis on a pragmatic approach to management and international skills offered by a widely recognised business school, ESCP Europe, which is consistently ranked within the top 10 European Business Schools by the Financial Times.

  2. Who can apply to the ESCP Europe Master in European Business (MEB)?

    Talented graduates and young professionals wishing to apply for the ESCP Europe Master in European Business (MEB) programme must have completed their higher education to a level equivalent to a university honours degree in any non-business field of study: BA/BSc honours, Maîtrise, Licenciatura, Laurea or equivalent. We encourage our candidates to have some post-graduation work experience.

  3. Is the Master in European Business (MEB) programme widely recognised?

    ESCP Europe was founded in 1819 and is consistently ranked within the top 10 European Business Schools by the Financial Times. The Master in European Business (MEB) has official recognition as a master's degree ("Grade de Master") by the French Ministry and as a Master of Science (MSc) by the German authorities under certain requirements. The Master in European Business (MEB) is also AMBA accredited in the category of Masters in Business and Management (MBM). Moreover, participants studying at MDI Gurgaon (India), Tec de Monterrey (Mexico) and AIT Bangkok (Thailand) may obtain a double degree delivered by those academic partners under specific requirements.

  4. What is the difference between the Master in European Business (MEB) and the Specialized Masters?

    The Master in European Business (MEB) and the Specialized Masters offered by ESCP Europe are both one-year postgraduate programmes. The Specialized Masters provide excellent depth of knowledge in one field or sector (Finance, Marketing or Consulting for example). The Master in European Business (MEB) covers all aspects of general management in an international environment. MEB students represent 36 nationalities from all 5 continents (MEB class of 2012) and the programme gives the oportunity to study in two countries within one year. In addition, the Master in European Business delivers a Master's degree ("Grade de Master" or M2) unlike Specialized Masters.

  5. What are the Master in European Business (MEB) objectives?

    The main objective of the ESCP Europe Master in European Business (MEB) is to provide the knowledge, skills and mindset necessary for an international management career.

  6. Are there courses entirely in English?

    This depends on the study track you choose but many tracks are offered fully in English. For the September intake, the courses are taught in the country’s native language in Semester 1 and in the native language or in English in Semester 2. At the academic partners (MDI Gurgaon in India, Tec de Monterrey in Mexico and AIT Bangkok in Thailand), all classes are taught in English. For the January intake, the courses are taught in the country's native language, except in Turin where courses are conducted in English.

  7. Where do the courses take place?

    The MEB Master in European Business (MEB) at ESCP Europe includes 2 semesters of studies in 2 different countries of your choice.

    Campuses include the 5 ESCP Europe campuses (Paris, London, Madrid, Berlin, Torino) and 3 partner schools in India (MDI Gurgaon), Thailand (AIT Bangkok) and Mexico (Tec Monterrey). Participants have to study for one semester at least on one of the 5 ESCP Europe campuses.

    September intake

    Semester 2:

    The courses are taught in the country's native language in Semester 1 and a choice of the native language or English in Semester 2. At the partner schools, all classes are taught in English.

    January intake

    Semester 1:

    • Paris (French)
    • Madrid (Spanish)
    • Torino (English)

    Semester 2:

    • London (English)

    The courses are taught in the country's native language in Semester 1 except in Torino where the courses are conducted in English.

  8. When can I begin the Master in European Business (MEB)?

    The Master in European Business (MEB) at ESCP Europe offers 2 intakes:

    • The September intakes offers many tracks in Europe, Asia and Latin America.
    • The January intake offers several tracks in Europe (London, Madrid and Torino)

    The academic calendar is as follows:

    • January intake runs from January 2012 to October 2012
    • September intake runs from September 2012 to July 2013
    • 3-month (minimum) company internship or direct employment
  9. What is the calendar of the Master in European Business (MEB)?

    The Master in European Business (MEB) at ESCP Europe offers two intakes: September and January.

    The September intake offers all 51 tracks in Europe, Asia and Latin America.
    The January intake offers 3 tracks combining three ESCP Europe campuses: Madrid or Torino in Semester 1 and London in Semester 2.

    For the September intake:

    • Semester 1 runs from Mid-September to Mid-February
    • Semester 2 runs from Mid-February to beginning of July
    • 3-month (minimum) company internship or direct employment

    Please note for the September intake:
    Semester 1 at MDI Gurgaon (India) and Tec de Monterrey (Mexico) starts in July 2012
    Semester 2 at AIT Bangkok (Thailand) begins in August 2013 and ends in December 2013. Students choosing AIT Bangkok for Semester 2 must therefore complete their insternship between their two academic semesters (i.e. between March and July 2013)

    For the January intake:

    • Semester 1 runs from beginning of January to mid-May
    • Semester 2 runs from beginning of June to mid-October
    • 3-month (minimum) company internship or direct employment
  10. What is the course structure of the Master in European Business (MEB)?

    The Master in European Buiness (MEB) offers a broad curriculum taught by professors and professionals who fully understand the needs of future high-potentials managers. The wide range of subjects (business strategy, finance, accounting, economics, marketing management, business law, human resources management...) covers the major fields of management in an international environment.

    The curriculum consists of the following elements:

    • 1 year of intensive courses in management (555 teaching hours)
    • 2 consultancy projects
    • 1 company internship (3 months minimum)
  11. Is my work experience an advantage?

    We peferably recruit candidates with some post-graduation work experience.

  12. What standard of languages do I need to be able to apply to the Master in European Business (MEB)?

    A high competency is required. You have to be fluent in the study languages according to the countries chosen. It means you are able to communicate accurately and with little difficulty orally and in writing on a wide range of issues (in your chosen language of study) when you apply.

  13. Do I need to take the TOEFL/IELTS?

    No - It is not compulsory. Candidates will be tested during the admission sessions on campus. However, candidates with a satisfactory language test score may be exempt from written language test (not oral). For non-native English speakers, we require the following minimum scores on the tests listed hereafter: TOEFL written test: 600; TOEFL IBT: 100; TOEFL computer-based: 250; IELTS: 7.

  14. Do you require a GMAT score?

    Candidates should submit a copy of the GMAT score or equivalent (i.e. TAGE MAGE, GRE...) along with their Application Form. The GMAT code number is: 40W-NP-23.
    However, candidates without a GMAT, GRE, or TAGE MAGE score have to take the SHL online computer test at ESCP Europe which evaluates numerical and verbal logical skills.

     

  15. How to prepare for the GMAT?

    They are many ways of preparing for the GMAT exam. Firstly, we recommend free GMAT training software, which can be downloaded from the following website: http://www.mba.com/mba/thegmat/prepareforthegmat

    Secondly, we draw your attention to the official training handbooks:

  16. When and where do admission sessions take place?

    The admission sessions are scheduled by ESCP Europe from October 2011 to July 2012 and take place on the 5 ESCP Europe campuses: Paris, Berlin, London, Madrid and Torino. Please see the full calendar of the admission sessions dates for each campus. We recommend you to submit your application online to the Admission Office as soon as possible.

  17. How do I apply for the Master in European Business (MEB)?

    • A non-refundable application fee of €150 (Candidates earning a scholarship from local government are exempt from application fee).
  18. Can I apply to several admission sessions?

    No - candidates can only apply once to one of the 5 ESCP Europe campuses (Paris, Berlin, London, Madrid, Torino) per academic year.

  19. How much are the application fees?

    Application fees are €150, and are paid to the campus when you submit your online Application Form.

  20. What is the admission process?

    Candidates who are interested in the MEB programme can only apply to one of the 5 ESCP Europe campuses (Paris, London, Berlin, Madrid and Torino) per year.

    Step 1:

    Fill out the online Application Form and upload all the required documents:

    • Copy of previous transcripts of marks and degrees to date with the total of credits.
    • Curriculum Vitae
    • 2 references (if applicable)
    • Photocopy of passport or ID
    • Passport-sized photograph
    • GMAT (code number: 40W-NP-23), GRE, TAGE MAGE, PAEP score (if available)
    • Language certificates (if available)
    • A non-refundable check of €150 payable to ESCP Europe for admission fees (candidates earning a scholarship from local government are exempt from application fee)

    Step 2:

    The Selection Commitee examines each application and assesses the suitability of the applicants. Candidates whose applications are accepted will be invited to attend the final round:

    • SHL online logic and quantitative test at ESCP Europe: only for candidates without a GMAT, GRE, TAGE MAGE, PAEP score. It is a test which evaluates numerical and verbal logics skills.
    • Language tests corresponding to the choice of countries: a written test (1h30) to evaluate the applicant's skills in reading comprehension, writing and listening. Plus, an oral test (approx. 20 minutes), which consists of a conversation with the examiner on a selected text (i.e quotes, newspaper headlines).

    To be exempt from English written test (only) we require the following minimum scores: TOEFL IBT: 100; TOEFL written test: 600; TOEFL computer-based: 250; IELTS: 7.

    • A personal interview (approx. 30 minutes): it plays a crucial role in assessing applicants’ abilities and their motivation for our MEB programme and for an international business career. It will take place in the native language of the admission centre or in English.

     

  21. In what language do personal interviews take place?

    Personal interviews can be conducted in the local language of the campus chosen for the admission tests or in English.

  22. I do not live in one of the 5 European cities where ESCP Europe has a campus. How can I arrange an interview?

    Where possible, candidates must attend the interviews held on the ESCP Europe campuses (Paris, London, Berlin, Madrid and Torino). In some cases, in exceptional circumstances, we may organize a personal interview by videoconference. It is not possible to take the interview by phone.

  23. How long will it be before I know the interview outcome?

    We aim to let candidates know if they passed within 3 weeks after the interview date.

  24. How can I best prepare for the interview?

    The purpose of the interview is to better understand your motivation for the Master in European Business (MEB) programme at ESCP Europe. We encourage candidates to be ready to talk about themselves and their professional projects. Concerning the language test(s), prepare yourself by reading newspapers in the language(s) you will be tested on and revise your grammar.

  25. I have been accepted but I cannot attend the Master in European Business course this year. Can I defer my admission?

    In some cases, in very exceptional circumstances, we can accept it by making your request to the Director of the Master in European Business (MEB) programme. A deposit of €2000 of the full tuition fee must be paid and is not refundable. This amount will be deducted from the course fees of the next year.

  26. How much are the tuition fees?

    The fees for the academic year 2012/2013 are set at €17,500. An additional fee will be charged for the MSc track at Berlin campus. Students attending courses at Tec de Monterrey have to pay an additional fee of $450 - $500 in order to obtain the MIB (Master in International Business) degree delivered by EGADE.

     

     

  27. Does the Master in European Business (MEB) at ESCP Europe offer scholarships to students?

    ESCP Europe values high quality education and we are dedicated to helping our students finance their studies in order to achieve their goals.

    The Master in European Business programme (MEB) is pleased to offer 2 types of scholarships based both on merit and financial need. They may be cumulative and can potentially pay up to 30% of the programme's costs .

    Students benefiting from CROUS (student's welfare office) can continue to receive this scholarship on the MEB programme.

  28. How can I pay for the Master in European Business (MEB)?

    Many banks offer loans to ESCP Europe students wishing to finance their studies. The Master in European Business (MEB) programme also includes a company placement of at least 3 months which is usually paid. The salary received by the students during their internships (between €1,200 and €1,500 per month) usually covers part of the cost of the MEB programme.

    Moreover, ESCP Europe values high quality education and we are dedicated to helping our students finance their studies in order to achieve their goals. The MEB offers 2 types of scholarships based both on merit and financial need. They may be cumulative and can potentially pay up to 30% of the programme's costs.

    Plus, students benefiting from CROUS (student's welfare office) can continue to receive this scholarship on the MEB programme.

     

  29. What does the Career Development Service offer?

    The ESCP Europe Career Development Office’s mission is to facilitate integration of students into the corporate world with the help of the Alumni Association. Both give support to students in building their own professional project, searching accurate internships/jobs and preparing personal interviews.

  30. What are the types of jobs offered after completion of the ESCP Europe Master in European Business (MEB)?

    Six months after graduation, the employment survey for the ESCP Europe MEB Class of 2009 indicates that:

    • 84% of graduates found a job
    • 40,490 average yearly salary

  31. What salary can I expect to receive after graduating from the ESCP Europe Master in European Business (MEB)?

    Six months after graduation, the average initial salary is 40,490.
