Structure and content

There is one inner, irrational feeling that we all share about sport: Passion.

Athletes, supporters, businessmen, millions of people all over the world. To work in sport you need to put passion into everything you do. But we believe that this is not enough. Passion, on its own, doesn’t get you there. It’s determination that gives us the strength to turn passion into something tangible, concrete. Once you fix a goal, you must never give up. We believe this is the right way, the path to get the top. We believe that True Leaders have the Determination to turn Passion into Action.

Our 60 hours Summer course is a structured 3-week course, Monday to Friday, and it will go through all the features of the complicated sport system.

After a welcome and warm-up session, students are going to experience what being a Manager in the Sports sector means through company visits, corporate speakers, interactive lectures, and much more, thanks to the ESCP Europe Business School network.

The lessons will start with an overview of the sport system, its market, its main stakeholders and its fast-growing dimensions both economically and professionally.

After the first phase, they will get introduced to the real topics. The lessons will be driven by the theory applied: all the contents will be taught throught the point of view of a specific sport case. The last days will be dedicated to the future: students will get to know the latest commercial trends and technologies – such as augmented reality, big data, virtual reality and more - and the impact that they have on the sport system.

During the course the students will have the chance to see what they are studying in 2 company visits during which participants will meet top managers in leading companies operating in the sector.
