A signatory of the UN Global Compact and of the UN PRME (Principles for Responsible Management Education), ESCP Europe aims to promote the respect of humanistic values and diversity, the importance of culture and cultural knowledge to tend towards a better social and economic world.

Sustainability has then full meaning as a decision making tool and overall a creative value-added vision.

Milestones

  • 2013: Launch of SustBusy (Business & Society -Towards a Sustainable World), our research center dedicated to sustainability questions, based on the Berlin Campus.

  • 2012: ESCP Europe signs the Rio+20 Commitment

  • 2011: ESCP Europe is an active participant of the enlarged Rio+20 conferences. Out proposal “Governance and sustainability” was integrated into the initiative and actions built by academic institutions (MEDDE/CGE). 

  • 2008: ESCP Europe joined the PRME group concerning research and pedagogical issues in the field of Corporate Social Responsibility and Sustainability

  • 2007: Member of “Campus Responsables” more specifically turned to students  (comportmental and practical issues) and perspectives and trends for campuses in the future.

  • 2006: ESCP Europe joined the "Comité 21" the first multi-stakeholder network for sustainable development. ESCP Europe is actively involved into CSR programmes: partner of conferences concerning education, perspectives for national territories.

  • 2006: “Call’ ONU" ESCP Europe is born: in April, the 1st delegation of students and the 1st Dean of ESCP Europe attended their 1st NMUN at the UN’s  headquarters in New York. They became recurrent participants.

  • 2005: The premium act: in May, ESCP Europe received the agreement to join and support the UN Global Compact as a European academic institution.

Member of the French CGE (Conférence des Grandes Ecoles), ESCP Europe is active in the specific group CGE/CPU (Conférence des Présidents d’Université) on sustainable issues.
