The Chair also aims to develop teaching programmes for managers and other internal control professionals.
The Chair enabled the launch of an Executive Specialized Master in Risk Management, Audit and Internal Control. This degree programme is accredited by the Conférence des Grandes Ecoles. ESCP Europe Professor Carole Bonnier is the Scientific Director.
In 2005 the Institute of Internal Auditors (IFACI) and ESCP Europe founded an Academic Chair dedicated to Internal Control. The chair pursues two types of activity: Research and Teaching.
The purpose of the Chair is to ensure that ideas and experiences in the field of internal control are shared among professionals. Likewise the Chair develops information on best practices and applications for top-level executive, managers, operational experts, internal auditors and controllers.
To date several work groups have investigated topics approved by the Chair’s Administrative Board. A work group comprises members of the management teaching profession and internal control professionals. Topics that have been investigated so far include:
