Aurélie (cohort 2006)

After completing a baccalaureate in economics and social sciences and two years of preparatory school, Aurélie chose to continue her studies at ESCP Europe. What attracted her most were the school’s international dimension and the “apprentissage” study option. She explains why she chose a multinational as her sponsor company.
“When I was accepted for the ESCP Europe “apprentissage” track, I had to find a company to sponsor me. My application was accepted for three different internships: working on sustainable development at an international company, setting up a marketing division at a small company, and a position in the after-sales training centre at a major automobile manufacturer. In the end, I opted for the automobile company since it was the most interesting and the most international job. All Europe “apprentissage” track students have to spend a semester at an international partner university, so I chose a company that would allow me to gain additional international professional experience. So I’m about to leave for London. With a small company, working abroad during my studies would have been much harder. That was another factor that tipped the scales when I had to decide on a company. My position at the after-sales training centre focuses on international project management, which is perfect for me. When you choose a company, it’s important to make sure the internship is substantive and interests you. The position is essential for building you CV and you can’t afford to lose two years.

The Apprenticeship Track for Master in Management Students

The “apprentissage” study option for French companies allows you to:

  • actively participate in the education of a current degree student,
  • rely on a motivated, invested and serious student over the long-term, and
  • take advantage of an effective pre-recruitment method.

“Apprentissage” alternates periods of full-time work with intensive study sessions at the school completed over two years of the ESCP Europe Master in Management programme.

In collaboration with ESCP Europe, your company can adapt your sponsored student’s coursework to focus on expertise in a particular management discipline.
