"The Chair pursues an aim of fundamental and applied research. Within the framework of the Entrepreneurship specialisation, seven Ernst & Young managers are coaching a similar number of business creation projects led by ESCP Europe and Centrale* students.
Our coaches assist students in the formulation of their projects, help them put together a viable business plan and encourage them to develop a critical stance with regard to the advancement of their project. A panel will select the best project each year. The mix of students in management and engineering is proving very rewarding. This can be seen in the seven projects currently under development, some of which are extremely innovative (one concerning renewable energy is especially promising).
On the research side, Ernst & Young will be actively involved with two major projects soon to be launched. In addition, we are planning a research conference on the theme “Business & Ethics”. We are also exploring a Prize for Best Business Plan from among the business creation projects of the students following the ESCP Europe Entrepreneurship option."

The Chair was officially inaugurated in February 2007. The financial support of its sponsors, Ernst & Young and the ESCP Europe Foundation, enabled the launch of a specialisation option in Entrepreneurship in the Master in Management programme, as well as a number of other projects, including the creation of the first European Entrepreneurship Observatory on the ESCP Europe Torino Campus
With the support of the ESCP Europe Alumni organisation and these various programmes, the Chair has set itself the goal of developing tomorrow’s entrepreneurs.
