Why a leadership programme exclusively for women?

Leadership competence is independent from gender and other ascriptive characteristics. A leadership training exclusively for women allows to reflect on unique challenges women encounter in a work environment with mainly male counterparts.






Discuss with peers from different backgrounds to gain a broader perspective on how to succeed as a female leader:  The programme is designed for female leaders, project managers and entrepreneurs who want to enhance their leadership skills in an international setting. Participants should have a minimum of five years of working experience.

The programme is developed and will be taught by experienced professors from ESCP Europe, some parts will be accompanied by professional coachs.

Katharina, executive coach and professor for leadership, has worked with executives from global organisations and various countries.


Prof. Dr. Marion Festing

As Academic Director of the Talent Management Institute, Marion combines the latest insights from research with her own leadership experience gained as Rector of ESCP Europe Berlin.


Prof. Dr. Véronique Tran

As a psychologist, Véronique has conducted research and advised top executives based on the MBTI for more than 20 years.

      Succeed as a female leader


      Knowing that women in a male-dominated work environment encounter unique challenges, we will discuss the origins of gender differences and the resulting gender gap. This knowledge, practical examples and our exchange of experiences is the basis for successful navigation inside and outside your organisation.



      Leverage the dynamics of power and influence


      We will discuss how to use the dynamics of power and influence responsibly to achieve the best outcome for your organisation, your team and yourself. You will analyse different sources of power and learn to enhance your influence.



      Unfold your own leadership style


      We will use the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) as a tool to understand how different personality types affect leadership, effective teamwork, communication and decision-making. This knowledge will enable you to improve your personal, authentic leadership style and to form and lead effective teams.



      Create and use networks


      You will analyse your network of professional relationships and develop strategies to improve them in order to leverage your impact. During exclusive networking opportunities, you will put what you have learned into practice.



      Master negotiation


      Communication and negotiation is the key to successful leadership. During negotiation situations you will explore different ways to achieve your objectives and get valuable feedback. You will reflect on how you behave in conflict situations and improve your negotiation and communication skills.



      Build leadership presence and impact


      Leadership presence is about how others perceive us as leaders; it includes our verbal skills and body language as well as the ability to demonstrate credibility, confidence and composure. Through an acting workshop, filmed presentations and reflection in groups, you will increase these skills, identify your strengths and raise your awareness of how others see you. As a result you will enhance your leadership presence and your impact as a leader.



      Take action through group coaching


      Based on the input of the first three days, you will create your personal action plan for mastering your next challenges and for achieving your goals together with a top executive coach. You will also learn from the insights and contributions of the other participants, as we will work in small groups. After the programme, you can attend optional online sessions to maximise your learning impact through follow-up and reflection about your experiences.
