Biography
Donatella Busso is an associate professor at the University of Turin in the Department of Business and Economics where she is also vice dean in charge of teaching activities. She is member of Sidrea (Società Italiana dei Docenti di Ragioneria e di Economia Aziendale – Italian Society of Accounting and Business Administration Professors)
As a member of the Faculty, she teaches Financial Analysis at ESCP Europe.
For several years (1999-2006) she has coordinated a research about financial statements of Italian listed companies, sponsored by the “Consiglio Nazionale dei Ragionieri Commercialisti e degli Esperti Contabili”.
She has co-written several books on financial accounting and IFRS and more specialized topics such as IAS 39, IAS 32 and IFRS concerning Financial Instruments.
Current research
Donatella Busso is currently working on IFRS; in particular she is conducting an analysis of the application in Italian financial statements of IAS 32 – Financial Instruments: presentation; IAS 39 - Financial Instruments: recognition; IFRS 7 – Financial Instruments: disclosures.
Moreover, she is investigating the use of fair value in the IFRS Financial Statement in European listed companies.
