Emmanuel Combe is Vice Chairman of the French Competition Authority, of whose Board he is a member since 2005, and former Professor of Industrial Economics at the University of Paris I. He is Affiliate Professor at ESCP Europe. His research and teaching interests are mainly related to competition policy (especially cartels and agreements between firms) and intellectual property rights (especially the interface between patent and competition). He published a textbook (in French) on “economics and competition policy” (2005) and numerous papers on the fight against cartels. Emmanuel Combe is also visiting professor at the College of Europe (Bruges) and at the University of Buenos-Aires (USAL). Emmanuel has been a Member of the Scientific Committee of Concurrences since 2006.
