Patrick Dassonville is an Emeritus professor of statistics at ESCP Europe. Throughout his career he divided his time between teaching and administering in the management education sector. After chairing the board of IDRAC (a private institution of higher education in management), he became a professor at ESCP in the early 1970s.
From 1981 to 1986, he headed the Paris campus of EAP (Ecole Européenne des Affaires). In 1989, he was elected ESCP faculty representative, a position he was instrumental in turning into the present function of dean of faculty. He held the elected position of president of the ESCP Faculty Association throughout the 1990s.
After teaching quantitative methods at ESCP and EAP, in 1994 he decided to concentrate on computer-assisted learning and teaching. He is the author of several CDs and Web sites devoted to data analysis methods in management. He has been awarded several prizes in the field.
He has published several handbooks in operational research and data analysis.
