Current research

The Fundamental Dimensions of Strategy
Following his article "The Fundamental Dimensions of Strategy", MIT Sloan Management Review, vol. 48, no. 1, 2006, pp. 71-75, Frédéric Fréry now explores each of these three dimensions: Value, Imitation & Perimeter. His current research mainly focuses on the economic and cultural implications of the “barriers to imitation” concept.

Virtual Corporations
Virtual Corporations outsource their value chains with specialized partners. Since the end of the 1990s, Frédéric Fréry has presented research papers, published articles and participated in textbooks on this subject. Among others, he has published Benetton or the Virtual Corporation (Vuibert, Paris, 1999, 2nd edition in 2003). His current research focuses on the way to control virtual corporations (how to limit opportunism in this type of organizations?).

Strategy Teaching
Frédéric Fréry has designed and written Stratégique, the French adaptation of Exploring Corporate Strategy, the #1 strategy textbook in Europe, by G. Johnson, K.Scholes and R. Whittington. The 7th edition of Stratégique (Pearson Education, Paris) has become the #1 strategy textbook in French-speaking business schools and universities worldwide. The frequent reissues of this textbook imply a permanent update.
