Charlotte Gaston-Breton, Doctor in Management Science from the University Paris Dauphine, is an Associate Professor of Marketing and Scientific co-Director of the Specialized Master of Marketing and Communication at ESCP Europe Madrid Campus.
From 2006 to August 2012, she was a Visiting Professor of Marketing at the University Carlos III of Madrid. From 2004 to 2006, she worked as an Associate Professor of Marketing at the University Paris Ouest Nanterre. She also has been invited as a Visiting Faculty by the Stern Business School (New York University) and the Haas Business School of Berkeley (California).
Her areas of expertise deal with Consumer Psychology (cognitive biases), Price Perception (psychological prices), Cultural and Social groups (cultural values, consumer communities) and Marketing research (qualitative methods, experimental design). She has published research papers in international journals such as Marketing Letters, International Marketing Review, Journal of Product and Brand Management and national journals such as Recherche et Applications en Marketing or Décisions Marketing. She has also presented research papers in international and national conferences such as European Marketing Academy (EMAC), Asociación Española de Marketing (AEMARK) or Association Française de Marketing (AFM).
She is the Associate Editor of the Marketing area for the European Management Journal and serves as an Ad-hoc reviewer for several journals. Her teaching and consultancy activities are related to consumer behavior and marketing research for consumer goods (e.g., L’OREAL, Carrefour) and marketing research industries (e.g., GFK, Symphony).
