Biography
Benoît Laurin is a lawyer and member of the Paris Bar (1989) and Czech Bar (1996). He is an affiliate professor at ESCP Europe where he has taught law since 1991. He is a graduate of the Institute of Political Science - Paris (1981) and the University of Paris Panthéon-Sorbonne. His fields of competence as a lawyer and professor are French and EU competition law, business law, contract law, company law, M&A and comparative law (company and competition laws), notably French German and Central and Eastern European countries.
At ESCP Europe, he teaches on the Masters and MBA programmes, as well as in the executive education division.
Current research
Benoît Laurin is author of "La GmbH - La société à responsabilité limitée de droit allemand" (limited liability company in German Law) jointly with Dr. Oleg de Lousanoff, Fritz Knapp Verlag, Frankfurt / Main ; 2nd edition 2000 ; ISBN 3-7819-2851-9.
He regularly publishes articles in competition law: commentaries of important decisions of the French office for competition (selective distribution and sales by Internet, vertical cartels, etc.) and on Courts decisions relating to restrictive practices (civil or penal judgments condemning retailers or producers). He also publishes articles in comparative law relating to French, German and Central and Eastern European country laws.
