Alain Ollivier is Emeritus Professor in the Marketing Department at the ESCP Europe Paris Campus. He is also the Scientific Director of the Johnson & Johnson Health Care Management Chair at ESCP Europe.
Professor Ollivier holds a Doctorate in Management from the University of Rennes, France (1978) and a graduate degree from HEC (France) and the Graduate School of Business Administration, University of Texas at Austin.
He is a former Dean of Faculty of ESCP Europe (1989-1994). He was a Special Advisor for the French Ministry of International Trade for 8 years.
Dr. Ollivier is a consultant and has worked for the World Bank, ILO and many multinational companies such as Vinci, Snecma, Eurovia, Sanofi-Aventis, Etam, EDF…
His current research interests are in the field of Heath Care Management, with a focus on the new status of patients, the Marketing process in technology driven companies, and on issues of Marketing control.
He is the author or co-author of several books and numerous articles on Marketing, the latest being Le Marketeur, nouveaux fondements du marketing, Pearson Education, 2006 (2nd edition).
