Miguel Palacios is an Associate Professor in Entrepreneurship and Organizational Behavior at ESCP Europe, as well as the Executive Education Academic Dean on Madrid Campus.
He is also the PhD Advisor of several students at Universidad Politecnica de Madrid in the areas of Business Models, Social Entrepreneurship and High Growth Entrepreneurship, where he teached Marketing, Strategy and Entrepreneurship from 2001 until September 2012. Since October 2012, he has been taking part in the area of Business Planning in the European Commission funded project Eureca.
In 1992, he graduated from Ecole Centrale Paris, then, in 1994, from Universidad Politecnica de Madrid, Master in Electrical Engineering. He followed the Master in Business Administration in MIT Sloan School of Management and obtained the MBA in 1999. He also holds a PhD in Business Administration since 2005, with a discussion on “Critical Success Factors for Businesses Plan Competitions. Development of a Model for the case of the Universidad Politecnica de Madrid.”
In the course of his career, he worked at Alcatel from 1993 to 1997 as a Development Engineer in the R&D Department, Industrial Electronics production facility, then as a Project Manager, Operations Department. From 1999 to 2001, he worked as a Management consulting manager at Oliver Wyman, in the areas of Strategy, Marketing and Start-up development, of Product management and of team management.
