Biography

Eric Pesnel is Associate Professor at ESCP Europe. He earned a MBA from HEC Paris and an engineering degree from « Ingénieur de l’Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Arts et Métiers ».
Professor Pesnel is co-director of the Specialized Master in Innovation and Entrepreneurship. He is also Scientific Director of two executive seminars: «Project Management » and «Industrial Management ».
His field of expertise is productivity in industry and services. He is also an expert in the use of business simulations for learning purposes.
Professor Pesnel also teaches at the « Ecole Nationale des Ponts et Chaussées » and at the « Collège des Ingénieurs ».
He has worked as a consultant for international companies for many years.
He is a member of the editorial committee International Journal of Services and Operations Management (IJSOM).
Professor Pesnel is author of many business simulation games translated into several languages.
He is currently working on a business simulation dealing with the Supply Chain and Purchasing. It will be published by CCMP.
He is a co-founder of Proconseil Consulting Group (60 Consultants) and the « Centre International de la Pédagogie d’Entreprise (CIPE) ».

Current research

Eric Pesnel is working on the function of business simulation games not only in the process of knowledge transmission but also in the process of transformation of initial ideas and student’s usual reasoning.
