Biography
Wei Zhou holds a Ph.D. degree in Information Systems & Operations Management from the Warrington College of Business Administration, University of Florida. He also has a master degree in electrical engineering (M.S.E.E.) from the University of Nebraska - Lincoln. Currently he is an assistant professor in the Information Systems and Technologies Department of ESCP Europe Paris campus.
Wei Zhou has teaching interests in Electronic Commerce, Systems Analysis and Design, management science and supply chain management. His areas of research interests include are in data mining, mechanisms for Web-enabled e-commerce applications, knowledge-based systems, effectively utilizing information for decision support through analytical models and simulation and supply chain management. His work has been published or accepted in Decision Support Systems, European Journal of Information Systems, European Journal of Operations Research, IEEE Transactions, International Journal of Electronic Commerce, and Optical Engineering, among others.
Wei Zhou has served as ad-hoc reviewer for Decision Support Systems, European Journal of Information Systems, European Journal of Operational Research, Information Systems and e-Business Management, International Journal of Computer Systems Science and Engineering, International Journal of Electronic Commerce, International Journal of Production Economics and Transportation Research. He is an member of: INFORMS, AIS, DSI, IEEE and SPIE.
Current research
Wei Zhou’s research interests lies in technology innovation/management, artificial intelligence, modeling, and the intersection of them. His recent research focuses on RFID enabled item-level information visibility, internet advertising, information retrieval and knowledge-based learning systems.
