Electric Vehicles in the UK: Turning Niche into Mainstream

Business School Students' Electric Vehicle Tour of Europe launches with London conference: 12th March

ESCP Europe Business School and TryMyEV are taking to the road on a tour of Europe in four Tesla Model S electric cars. A conference launches the tour in London on 12th March, entitled 'Electric Vehicles in the UK: Turning Niche into Mainstream'.

This event will bring together stakeholders in the development of electric vehicles in the UK to discuss the challenges facing the sector. They will discuss the balance to be struck between what governments and local authorities can promote through policy and regulation, the provision of infrastructure, the supply and prices of vehicles from motor manufacturers, the costs and public attitudes. They will also consider the challenge of planning infrastructure requirements for a fast-evolving new technology.

Bringing their own unique perspectives to the discussion will be Hugh Edeleanu, Chairman of H.E. Services and Founder of EVision Supercars; Simon Empson, Managing Director of Broadspeed Ltd; Erik Fairbairn, CEO of POD Point; Afeez Kolawale-Alade, Founder, TryMyEV; and Ben Fletcher, Senior Product Manager for Renault's ZE Range.
