Under its 'Newcomers programme' ESCP Europe will enjoy one year of free support from HOTC partners in building up its CSR programme, whilst enjoying an opportunity to put its own human and intellectual capital in service of community-oriented projects. It is a scheme endorsed by The Lord Mayor of the City of London and the Governor of the Bank of England.
HOTC membership was secured at the start of the year following a submission compiled by Kasia Wolenska. On 16th February, the School's UK Director, Dr. Simon Mercado, joined members at a Senior Leadership Breakfast hosted by the Lord Mayor in Mansion House (see photo). The guest speakers Sir Stuart Etherington and Eithne Rynne addressed the benefits of CSR actions and highlighted opportunities for businesses to partner with community organisations. A summary of the panel discussion is available to read on the HOTC's website.
The School has taken steps in this area in line with recommendations made through the Dialogue Group exercise that took place at the London campus in Summer/Autumn 2015. The primary goal for 2016 is to develop a coherent community engagement programme in support of wider ESCP Europe strategic goals on curricula, social action and impact.
