After the event: IBM Mock Assessment Centre

ESCP Europe Students Meet Business provided its fellow students with a unique opportunity to meet IBM, the world's most admired IT services company. IBM held a Mock Assessment Centre at the London campus and delivered a short presentation on the company's outstanding career opportunities.

25 ESCP Europe students took advantage of meeting Charles Donnell, IBM University Attraction and Recruitment Coordinator. The attendees were given valuable advice on the key aspects on which they should focus during an assessment centre. Insider information on what recruiters are looking for helped students to better understand their role within this phase of the recruitment process and hence increase their prospects of moving quickly into a successful career.

Furthermore, four groups of students undertook a challenging group exercise from a real IBM assessment centre process, resulting in crucial feedback on how to improve their performance in the future.

The reviews of this event were very positive. ESCP Europe students gained important experience in the areas of recruitment and the IT services business at large, and our guest from IBM appreciated the high-calibre profile of our students, who exceeded his expectations and helped to build awareness of ESCP Europe's quality among top-tier employers.
