Berlin: The Association of MBAs leads progressive debate on the role of postgraduate business education in a world in transition

Perspectives and requirements for management know-how are changing significantly

From 26 -28 May in Berlin, Germany, the Association of MBAs held its annual International Conference for Deans and Directors. The event is firmly established as the essential event for business school deans and directors from the world’s leading institutions. Over 160 leaders from business education and industry gathered from 28 countries around the world to discuss the theme ‘Responsible Management for a World in Transition’. Speakers and delegates travelled from every continent to discuss how to develop progressive MBA programmes in a shifting social and economic global landscape.

ESCP Europe is a partner of the Association of MBAs and supported the event. On May 27th the ESCP Europe Campus Berlin welcomed more than 150 representatives of international business schools, universities and companies for a reception and BBQ. “The perspectives and requirements for management know-how are changing significantly. Therefore companies and Business Schools need to develop new educational programmes which prepare managers for future challenges in a best way. The transfer of know how regarding the management of context, complexity and connectedness has to be an absolute priority for this new format“, stated Prof. Dr. Dr. Ayad Al-Ani, Rector of the ESCP Europe Campus in Berlin.
