Effective Employer Branding Through Cross Campus Partnerships - The Econ Case

Econ, the in-house consulting division of E.On, signed a partnership with the London and the Berlin campuses after a successful workshop with MEM students in London. ESCP Europe Berlin was formerly contacted by an alumna who set up the workshop with the help of Berlin and London. As part of the newly formed partnership, Econ was present on both campuses’ careers fairs, had a second very successful workshop in London in January this year and now is negotiating on another workshop with students from other programmes in Berlin in autumn.

"Being partner of ESCP Europe both in London and Berlin enables us to focus on recruiting excellent students from the specialised Master in Energy Management, which runs in the London and Paris campuses. We also reach interesting students of the Master in Management and Master in European Business programmes at the Berlin campus. Being present on the two campuses gives us optimal visibility with our target groups. We also benefit from the different event formats and career fairs both campuses offer.”

Anne Schmidt, Recruiting Manager, E.ON Inhouse Consulting GmbH

"The workshop with ECON, organised by the Berlin and London Careers Services was a great experience! Spending a full day with consultants and managers from the company, and working on a case study derived from their real work experience, really allowed me to get a realistic sense of how it would be to work as an ECON consultant. This event was instrumental in helping me secure an internship position and eventually join the company as a project consultant following graduation."

Isaac Junior Pete, Alumnus of the Master in Energy Management Program and Project Consultant, E.ON Inhouse Consulting GmbH
