Excellence in interviews: Boot Camps to build bridges between Alumni and ESCP Europe students

The Corporate Relations Department organised a Boot Camp for Marketing, held on 28 Saturday March on the Paris campus.


This 6-hour event took place on the Paris campus but was delivered in English and French, thus enabling students from all campuses to attend.

About 150 students came and obtained:

  • a deeper understanding of the scope of marketing
  • a link with academic courses
  • a better knowledge of the enrollment process (UK & France)
  • a real life Q&A session with Alumni currently working in highly reputable companies


The Boot Camps were launched in 2014 and are designed to prepare ESCP Europe students better for their future interviews.
Even it is not a recruitment event like Jobfairs, it is a highly efficient way to
•    prepare ESCP Europe students better for interviews
•    to enable them to understand marketing joblines, their challenges and possible careers better
•    to help them by giving tips for success in the application process, interviews and "assessment centres"

The Boot Camp for Marketing is the 4th. Boot Camps for Finance, Consulting and Technology were organised last year.
Since the beginning, success has been ensured by the commitment of the ESCP Europe Alumni Association.
That’s why ESCP Europe would like to pay particular tribute to:
•    Thomas Rajzbaum, Private Equity Investor, Carlyle Group and Arnaud Petit, Executive Director, Edmond de Rothschild (sponsors of Boot Camp for Finance)
•    Hind Ouzzani, Consultant, Bain & Company (sponsor of Boot Camp for Consulting)
•    Frédéric Genta, Retail Industry Manager, Google (sponsor of Boot Camp for Technology)
•    Alexandra de Saivre, Group brand manager RUBSON, Henkel (sponsor of Boot Camp for Marketing)
who have been heavily involved in the design of the 4 Boot Camps by recruiting other Alumni as Boot Camp instructors.

By assisting students and answering their questions, the Boot Camp instructors also led the afternoon’s workshops (interviews, case studies, workshops, Q&A).
