On 13th June, 600 participants gathered for the Alumni Forum of the ESCP Europe Alumni Association on the subject of “Meeting the digital generation”.  During this event, ESCP Europe Alumni of the Year 2012 and founder of OMD Interactive, Cashstore.fr and Malinea, Catherine Barba, handed the reward to Fany Péchiodat.

My Little Paris: From 50 friends to 1 000 000 members

Fany Péchiodat graduated in 2001 at ESCP Europe with the Master in Management and began her career in marketing at L’Oréal, Jean Paul Gaultier Fragrances and then went on to found My Little Paris.

Starting by sharing her idea with 50 friends in 2008, the My Little Paris community expanded by word-of-mouth and today holds more than a million members.  Since its launch, the idea is now separated by region: My Little Lyon and My little Marseille etc. with numerous themes, My Little Wedding, My Little Kids as well as other supports such as applications for iPhone and iPad.  Although originally aimed at women, the My Little Paris group has launched its male version, “Merci Alfred”.  Recently, Fany Péchiodat launched the e-commerce platform, My Little Box.

My Little Paris placed innovation at the core of its organisation, which allowed them to see profits double every year.  To further expand the launch, its very first advancement internationally is scheduled in Japan for September 2013.

Fany Péchiodat has also been awarded the Hub Award prize of “Young Digital Personality of 2011” and the Veuve Clicquot prize of “Businesswoman of 2012”.

Alumni of the Year, an award for high flyers from ESCP Europe

The Alumni of the Year election began in 2006; started up by the ESCP Alumni Association in partnership with MontBlanc to congratulate the careers of young graduate professionals, aged less than 40 years old, who have already received outstanding career-path success.

The election is one single international reward by the graduate community. A semi-final takes place in each ESCP Europe campus country: France, Great Britain, Germany, Spain and Italy including a “Rest of the world” category. A final vote elects the “Alumni of the Year”.
