Flexibility key for women

As reported in the Guardian recently, figures from the Association of MBAs show that only 30% of students taking MBAs are female.

The newspaper asked ESCP Europe why that might be the case. Ines Khedir, MBA programme manager at the Paris campus, said: "We knew there was a problem, as undergraduate programmes had equal men and women, but only 20% of MBA applicants were female.

"There are 89 members in the network, though the Berlin campus has a small take-up. In Germany women are seen as bad mothers if they work, so there are few women managers."
