International Food Night - a great success!

Students at the London campus hosted a wonderful evening of global cuisine on 26th April.

International Food Night was organised to raise both funds for and awareness of this year's trip to Uganda. Providing all the food themselves, the Marketing For Change team offered an amazing selection of dishes served tapas-style for £10 per person.

Some of the food on offer included:

  • French quiche lorraine, tarte a la tomate, tarte aux pommes, gratin dauphinois
  • Lithuanian pink soup
  • German meat balls
  • Russian pancakes
  • Italian melanzane alla parmigiana, stuffed vegetables, bruschetta, tiramisu
  • Brazilian brigadeiro
  • Norwegian buns
  • Moroccan carrot and coriander salad
  • Asian Cabbage wraps, fried rice and spring rolls
  • Greek Tzatziki, Greek Salad, Greek 'Ntakos' (bread with tomato and feta cheese)
  • Spanish tortilla de patatas
  • Peruvian papa a la huancaína, chicha morada for drinking, and tamalitos verdes
  • Norwegian salmon on Swedish crispbread, served with Danish caviar and lemon and pickle creme fraiche.

In total, more than £500 was raised.

Marketing for Change (M4C) is a non-profit organisation founded by this year's Master in Marketing & Creativity students. Alongside The Great Generation, M4C will partner with the Kawempe Home Care (KHC) initiative in Kampala, Uganda, culminating in a two-week trip from 16-27th July. M4C's objective is to help the community rely on self-created markets by facilitating sustainable and successful business models.

Overall, there are more than 50 students from the School involved in the enterprise, supporting and coordinating activities around the project.

In order to make this trip as successful as possible, Marketing for Change need to raise £16,500. Fundraising activities have already begun at the London campus, but any contribution you can can make would be much appreciated. To donate, please click here. "We are a non-profit student organisation of ESCP Europe Business School marketing students that helps communities recognise and act on self-sustainable market opportunities. As young leaders, we strive to empower citizens of underdeveloped economies to resolve unique marketing challenges. Our depth of expertise and creativity will allow these promising communities to increase capacity and depend on self-created markets that will provide them with the tools to flourish as a resourceful society. In collaboration with trusted partners we will transfer our knowledge and marketing skills under constraints to make an invaluable difference in these communities.
