LABEX ReFi Call for Applications - PhD scholarships

The Labex RéFi offers 3-year PhD scholarships.

LABEX-Réfi is the French "Laboratoire d'Excellence" sponsored by the French government in the field of Financial Regulation.

The LABEX Réfi is backed by leading French institutions: ESCP Europe (project leader), CNAM, ENA, and Paris1 Panthéon-Sorbonne University.

Two recruitment sessions are organized:

  • 1st session:

    • Application deadline: June 1st, 2013
    • Interviews: June 15-30, 2013

  • 2nd session:

    • Application deadline: September 1st, 2013
    • Interviews: September 15-30, 2013

Research topics of the Labex Réfi are the following:

  1. Asset valuation, asset allocation and fund management

  2. Epistemology of the financial crisis

  3. How to regulate?

  4. Long term value of assets

  5. Prudential regulation (banks and insurance)

  6. Systemic risk

  7. The legal context and ”post-market” activities

  8. The quality of accounting standards

  9. The regulation of structured products and derivatives

  10. The financial intermediary and shareholder remuneration

  11. The role of rating agencies

Applications must be sent via this on-line form and must feature:

  1. Your curriculum vitae
  2. A recommendation letter from a Professor
  3. A copy of your master dissertation (if available) and all available grades (for M1 and M2).
  4. A description (not exceeding 10 pages, including references) of your research project, dedicated to one research area of Labex Réfi presented above.

All these documents must be sent in four pdf files.
No other submission medium will be accepted.
The application must contain all previously listed documents to be considered valid.
