Labex Réfi launches its PhD Grants

Laboratoire d’Excellence"Régulation Financière"

ReFi is a newly-founded French "Laboratoire d'Excellence" sponsored by the French government in the field of Financial regulation ("Régulation Financière" in French).

This LabEx is backed by five leading French research institutions: ESCP Europe, CNAM, ENA, ENAss and Paris 1 Pantheon-Sorbonne University.

ReFi offers 3-year PhD scholarships (the legal framework is provided by
Décret n° 2009-464 du 23 avril 2009, see also the corresponding web page of the ministry’s website).

Candidates must submit one project among the proposals listed below before the deadline: 31 octobre 2011, 5:00 p.m. (GMT).

PhD project proposals :

  • Dr. Jézabel Couppey Soubeyran: "An Inside Look at Financial Liberalization Process: Financial Sector Development and Economic Growth."
  • Pr. Roland Gillet: "MiFID: taking into account investor risk aversion and Best Execution, theoretical challenges and operational risks[D1]."
  • Pr. Constantin Mellios: "Delegated portfolio management, fee structures and loss aversion"
  • Dr. Steve Ohana: "Design of early warning signals of contagion in financial markets Long-term prevention of systemic risk"

The candidate shall specify the project he applies to. A pre-selection will be done by early November; applicants will be interviewed thereafter by the end of November. A precise schedule will be provided to the preselected candidates.

The applications have to be sent by email (Subject: "ReFi PhD grant application")
to Georgia Dimopoulos.

Deadline: 31 octobre 2011, 5:00 p.m. (GMT).
