Master in Hospitality Management: enrol for the September 2010 intake now

The importance of hospitality management is now clearly identified by companies wishing to sustain their competitive advantage long-term.

It has evolved rapidly, largely through technological advances, lifestyle evolutions, managerial and business innovative models. This historically Anglo-Saxon management concept has more recently gained importance across the globe, where hospitality is often well-known but not always well-managed. ESCP Europe has been quick to respond to the demand for high-level training in this domain by developing a Master in Hospitality Management Degree to ensure quality in this emerging profession.

The hospitality industry includes a large range of businesses from hotels and resorts to conference and events centres, theme parks, cruise lines, restaurants, casinos, hospitals, wellness centres, etc. However, hospitality management can also be applied to all types of companies in terms of the way that client services are delivered.

The ESCP Europe Master in Hospitality Management is designed to train high-potential managers from the hospitality industry with a comprehensive understanding of the different management concepts and practices, explored through key issues and challenges facing this unique, dynamic and diverse industry.

This international programme – entirely taught in English – is spread over 15 months and consists of five 2-week sessions: three on the Madrid Campus, one on the Paris Campus and one at Cornell University School of Hotel Administration (Ithaca, New York), the world leader in hospitality management. This mobility enables participants to discover and understand different business contexts. Students also benefit from professional development activities including international consultancy projects, guest speakers’ lectures, company visits and career workshops.

Throughout the curriculum, strong emphasis is put on today and tomorrow’s challenging topics for the hotel industry such as IT innovation, responsible and sustainable development and diversity management.
