Master in Marketing & Creativity student up for a Shorty Award

We like to think that our MSc Marketing & Creativity programme has a way of finding the very best creative minds out there, and this has been proven yet again by Karim Theilgaard (Class of 2013), who has just been nominated for a Shorty Award.

Hosted by Twitter, the Shorty Awards are now in their 5th year and "honour the best in social media; recognising the people and organisations producing real-time short content across Twitter, Facebook, Tumblr, YouTube, Foursquare and the rest of the social web". Karim has been nominated in the 'Celebrity' category for his 'Strangers on the Floor' documentary.

The award ceremony will take place on 8th April at the TimesCentre in New York, NY. Previous winners of Shorty Awards include Conan O'Brien, Ricky Gervais, Neil Patrick Harris and NASA. You will be able to watch the ceremony live via the Shorty website.

Karim recently released his debut single, 'The Way We Used To Be', which has become a viral hit on YouTube. With just shy of 80,000 views at the time of writing, it looks destined to become an even bigger hit in the future. He will graduate from the MSc Marketing & Creativity this year.

Congratulations to Karim - and good luck!
