Problem Solver

London campus professor Raymond Madden was asked by The Grapevine magazine to give his advice on a situation many managers face:

"When developing new talent through graduate recruitment programmes, how can I ensure my other staff don't feel left out?"

His solution was simple: to ensure that training opportunites are spread throughout businesses, at all levels, and not restricted to those joining a company on graduate schemes. He also pointed out that managers leading in-house training sessions enables the growth of leadership skills, thereby providing benefits to staff across the board.
