Professor Edouard Husson, the new Dean of ESCP Europe

“European Identity, Global Perspective”.

These two principles will guide all of my actions.

The Paris Chamber of Commerce and Industry made the decision to appoint me as Dean of ESCP Europe from the 1st of September 2012.

I follow Professor Pascal Morand, who held this position since 2006. I am honored to have been entrusted with this position.

I would like to communicate to all of the students, professors and staff at ESCP Europe how proud I am to accept the mission with which I have been entrusted, to ensure that the World’s First Business School (established in 1819) continues to be internationally acclaimed.

ESCP Europe is not only a prestigious, historic institution, an internationally recognized brand, but also a truly European Business School, established on five campuses (Paris, London, Berlin, Madrid, Torino). I will be fully committed to continuing working on synergies between these campuses in leading European cities, in the continuity of my predecessor’s achievements.

I will be working with ESCP Europe’s teams to develop the five campuses in order to offer students evermore innovative programmes, to provide professionals with Executive Education evermore adapted to their needs and the community of researchers a framework to produce and diffuse evermore stimulating ideas.

Within ESCP Europe, on each of the campuses, students and professionals, should, on their own initiative be able to find and develop ideas, methods, skills and visions, which will allow Europe to have greater influence in globalization! This is already happening, and it’s one of the originalities of the school, in an intense dialogue with humanities and social sciences, which my own experience pushes me to encourage!

“European Identity, Global Perspective” proclaimed proudly on the website of the school! These two principles will guide all of my actions.

Edouard Husson
