Research in Numbers: Publications at ECSP Europe Berlin from January to June 2014

In line with the school's research policy, the research activities at the Berlin Campus of ESCP Europe combine scientific rigor with a high level of managerial relevance. In the first half of 2014, academics of ESCP Europe Berlin have contributed a total of 46 publications.


Top-Journal Publications
During this six months period 14 articles have been published in prestigious international and national scientific peer-reviewed journals, 9 of them in renowned international journals with “Top-Journal” ranking, corresponding to category FT, category 1 and category 2 of the ESCP Europe Journal List System:

The Chair “Human Resource Management and Intercultural Leadership” has published 10 Labour Market and Human Resource reports for various European countries. The Chair “Business Information Systems” has written and published 2 reports on adoption of social software by consultants and adoption of public cloud computing.

Book Chapters, Cases Studies, and Working Paper
The researchers of ESCP Europe Berlin have contributed four book chapters to edited volumes. Moreover, the research staff has conducted and published one case study as well as one ESCP Europe Working Paper Nr. 62 on Pecking-Order-Theory.

International conferences
Within this time, 14 refereed papers have been presented at international conferences.

Best Paper Award
Martin Bierey received the “Best Paper Presentation” Award for his contribution “Long-term effects of corporate misreporting - How long credit ratings reflect the risks arising from corporate misreporting” at the 7th International Accounting and Finance Doctoral Symposium in Trondheim (Norway).

In addition, the doctoral students have successfully defended and published two Ph.D.-Theses.
