Alex Batchelor, Chief Operating Officer with BrainJuicer & Chairman of the Marketing Society presents "From consumer insight to brand success: are companies wasting $32bn on market research?"

Alex Batchelor has an impressive marketing background with previous brand and marketing leadership roles at multinational companies.

He began his career at Unilever, spending seven years there before becoming Planning Director at Saatchi & Saatchi. He has since managed the Brand Valuation practice at Interbrand, becoming Managing Director at a time of phenomenal growth.

A regular on the media and conference circuit, Alex returned to the client side as Vice President of Global Branding at Orange (launching the brand in 12 countries), Marketing Director at Royal Mail (as it faced competition for the first time in its 350 year history) and Chief Marketing Officer at TomTom.

He joined BrainJuicer® as the Chief Operating Officer in 2010 and is looking forward to helping the business continue its rapid growth. He is the current Chairman of the Marketing Society and has been a member of its management board since 2003.


The lecture will be followed by a formal question and answer session, allowing for a lively discussion of the theories presented, and after this a more informal opportunity to mingle over refreshments.
