Towards a Framework for Mandatory Sustainability

The pressure on sustainability reporting in Annual Reports has increased greatly over the past decade - pressure from regulations, but also from stakeholders.

However, despite the presence of generally accepted guidance such as the Global Reporting Initiative, the sustainability sections of Annual Reports lack coherence and comparability. Although institutional guidance for the disclosure of specific sustainability information within Annual Reports is emerging (indeed, this information is now required for the Business Review), effective guidance is still lacking...
