IdA-EULAC-CERALE Conference on intercultural and sustainable management

Once a year, during the Latin American and Caribbean Week in France, the Institut des Amériques (IdA) and the European Union-Latin America and Caribbean Foundation (EU-LAC) organise a joint international academic conference.

The Conference aims to foster relationships between the European region and the Caribbean and Latin American region.

This year, the event will be prepared in cooperation with the ESCP Europe Centre for Studies and Research Latin America-Europe (CERALE). Participants are invited to share knowledge and experience on the 30th and the 31st of May and to discuss the topic: “Capitalizing on managerial and cultural ties between Europe and Latin America to promote sustainable development”.

Researchers in management, public decision makers and representatives of international organisations will be gathered to exchange their point of view on this cross-disciplinary theme. They will talk about the elective affinities that exist in multinational teams in spite of a rational organisation. They will also debate the big challenge that Caribbean, Latin American and European companies are currently facing: respecting the environment, contributing to the social development of populations and acting for a sustainable development.

Through round tables, conferences and thematic sessions, the two-day programme offers participants a better understanding of the complex (social, cultural, managerial) environment in which these geographic areas are developing.

Registration for the 2016 IdA-EULAC-CERALE Conference is open.
