New beginnings for ESCP Europe's London campus

Yesterday, ESCP Europe Business School's UK Director Dr Simon Mercado met Master in European Business (MEB) and MSc in Marketing and Creativity (MMK) students studying in London.

Over a buffet lunch in the sunshine of the campus garden, Simon talked about the growth of the School, particularly the launch of a new undergraduate Bachelor in Management degree, starting September.

He also launched a series of dialogues with students and their class reps, and invited them to join a special focus group on the impact on students of international, multicultural educational experiences - of particular relevance to one of Simon's research projects.

Simon urged the students to make the most of a series of events at the campus in June, despite the pressures of exams. These include a conference on Management Innovation for Healthcare (4th June), a video conference with the CEO of L'Oreal, a talk from 'How to Build a Billion Dollar App' author and entrepreneur George Berkowski (9th June), and a debate on whether the UK should remain a member of the EU or not (10th June).

He followed the meeting with one for the staff and professors on next steps in building ESCP Europe's London campus as a sphere of influence internally within ESCP Europe's five campuses, and also externally in the UK. New course modules, new corporate partners, and lots of new students are on their way.

To symbolically mark a fresh start for the team and students in London, he invited the two newest staff recruits to cut the ribbon to reopen the newly restored portico through which all reentered the building.
