ESCP Europe deepens its presence in Central and Eastern Europe, signing new strategic partnership with Poland’s Kozminski University

ESCP Europe Business School (Paris, London, Berlin, Madrid and Torino) has entered into a new strategic alliance with Warsaw-based Kozminski University, the only business school in Central and Eastern Europe with triple accreditation (AMBA, EQUIS, AACSB).

ESCP Europe is enhancing its positioning as the definitive pan-European business school by launching a new strategic partnership with Kozminski University in Warsaw.

This unique alliance, signed on 30th March 2015, will connect two of the most prestigious institutions in management education in a strong and deep partnership, building a solid bridge across Europe, sharing offices, programmes and research. For ESCP Europe this goes beyond its existing network of relationships in the Czech Republic and with other academic institutions in Poland.

New Offices

Each institution will maintain an office at its partner’s campus. From September 2015, ESCP Europe will be hosted by Kozminski in Warsaw, and Kozminski will have a new office at ESCP Europe’s campus in Paris.

Joint Programmes

The partnership will include cooperation across a range of postgraduate masters degree programmes, as well as executive education, opening up access to a large pool of business connections across Europe and beyond.

The first initiative will be the opening of ESCP Europe’s Master in European Business (MEB) programme in Warsaw. The MEB is a one-year two-country programme. Poland will now be added to the choice of countries, which already includes ESCP Europe campuses in France, the UK, Germany, Spain and Italy, as well as its established partners in China, India, Mexico and Thailand.  Students follow an intensive general management curriculum, modelled on the classic MBA. As with all ESCP Europe programmes, the students are immersed in an international cross-cultural environment, gaining real business experience through supervised Company Consultancy Projects and their own internships.

Joint Research

In addition to sharing the student experience, faculty from ESCP Europe and Kozminski will spend time on each other’s campuses to work together on research projects, exchanging know-how and expertise.

A New Intellectual Hub for Europe

ESCP Europe’s Dean, Dr Frank Bournois, said: "I am proud that ESCP Europe is expanding its network in Central and Eastern Europe via this strategic alliance with Kozminski University, which will now become one of our strongest international partners. To be connected to the best business school in the region is a great honour and opens up a multitude of opportunities of all kinds". Dr Andreas Kaplan, ESCP Europe’s Dean for Academic Affairs adds that "this partnership allows us to take our students to this highly dynamic part of Europe and to provide them with even more exciting, cross-cultural experiences".

For Kozminski University this alliance with ESCP Europe continues its own process of international expansion, partnering with top educational institutions that span different managerial, cultural and social traditions to exchange faculty and students, and attract the best international talent.

According to Kozminski University’s Rector, Professor Witold T. Bielecki: "We have always been close to modern, thought-leading corporations and businesses from our partner countries, especially France. Our approach has allowed us to create unique value for students and researchers and resulted in Kozminski University’s leading position in the region. I hope this will make a significant contribution to our new alliance with ESCP Europe". Professor Grzegorz Mazurek, Vice-Rector for International Relations said: "The strategic partnership with ESCP Europe is in fact a new formula for creating an intellectual hub linking top business schools from Western and Central Europe. Our faculty, staff and students will certainly benefit from this new, strong relationship."
