We love local grub!

Since English cuisine isn't generally regarded the best in the world, you're lucky to be at a campus with a wide selection of international eateries on your doorstep. This week we're profiling our staff's favourite places to get your nom on in the West Hampstead and Finchley Road area - knives and forks at the ready!

1. Lena's Café
Vegetarian and meat buffet
267 West End Lane, NW6 1QS
If you're craving tons of veg, this is the place to go. There's almost too much choice! Last time I went I loved the beetroot and feta salads, and I recommend trying both. For the amount of food you get it's incredibly cheap… and the waitresses are really pretty! :)

2. The Kitchen Table
Home-style café
37 Mill Lane, NW6 1PZ

This is a great place for homemade soups and sandwiches. The portions are really big and they cater for both vegetarians and meat-eaters. They also have a great selection of brownies and cakes if you feel like treating yourself. Very cosy and laid-back, too. This means you might find yourself sharing a table when it's busy, but the food is worth it!

3. Seoul
Korean
289 Finchley Road, NW3 6ND

Seoul is always busy – I've seen people queuing out of the door to eat there. The barbeque is their speciality and they do it really well. It's cooked at your table, which is always a fun experience. I love it!

4. J
Italian
218 West End Lane, NW6 1UU

This is my favourite local place for Italian food. I love their parma pizza and mushroom risotto! The service there is always good, too, even when you go to eat in big groups.

5. David's Deli
Middle-eastern
341 West End Lane, NW6 1RS

David's has the warmest welcome of any place on West End Lane – no matter how busy they are, the staff are always happy to see you! The selection of freshly made food is amazing (especially the chicken shawarma), and their falafel and hummus pitas are a firm favourite in our office. David's Deli also offers students from ESCP Europe a 10% discount when eating in!

6. The Lion
Pub grub
295 West End Lane, NW6 1RD

The Lion does the biggest and most delicious burgers with chunky chips and onion rings. They also have amazing fish and chips, and nachos with chillies and cheese. Oh, and the deep-fried halloumi is divine! Excuse me, I feel the need to go to The Lion right now...
