CCIFER Romania - Executive Management Programme
Supporting high-potential managers of French and Romanian companies
Why this programme?
It constitutes a unique training programme in Romania, combining the excellence of an internationally recognised business school with the advantages of proximity.
Renowned companies, such as Renault Romania, GDF Suez Energy Romania, Lafarge Romania, Expert Petroleum, Apa Nova Bucuresti (Veolia) and Euralis Seed, were enthusiastic about the programme and decided to enrol their highest potential employees. These 15 carefully selected participants were trained from January to September 2013 in all management disciplines (strategy, finance, international law, marketing ...) three days per month.
The programme is composed of nine part-time course modules, complemented by an international project and an e-learning platform. The teaching is delivered in Bucharest in English by ESCP Europe professors. Throughout the programme, the groups of participants, supported by a professor and equipped with an e-learning platform, produced a consulting project "International Consultancy Project (ICP)" based on issues identified by the Boards of each of the companies involved.
Participants who complete the ExMP are awarded a certificate in General Management from ESCP Europe. The programme offered by the CCIFER in Bucharest is at the heart of the EMBA of ESCP Europe, which enables participants to progress and obtain an EMBA, by following international seminars and elective courses.
First, we sought a school that has business culture at its heart, a tradition in executive education and a flexible partner for dialogue to implement business expectations and needs.
Being at the center of a very strong business community, the CCIFER did not want to compromise on the quality of training, thus the name ESCP Europe quickly emerged. Undoubtedly, the recommendation of the French Embassy in Romania also influenced our choice.
In the end, the CCIFER is part of the network of Chambers of Commerce and Industry in France and the Paris CCI is one of our key partners for a number of other services we offer.
The most important factors in the continuation of this project with ESCP Europe were probably the quality of professors and their teaching. We had the pleasure of welcoming to Bucharest professors and experts with a wealth of international experience and with the keenest desire to share it with our participants.
Thanks to the partnership with ESCP Europe, we are able to offer the highest quality programme available for international managers in the South East Europe region. In our strategy , this is only the beginning of a series of similar programmes for managers and also specialists. In the medium term, this could result in a business school of international standard in Bucharest.
Lavinia CODREŞI, Head of the Training Center, French Chamber of Commerce in Romania
“The programme designed by CCIFER in conjunction with ESCP Europe led to an exchange of best practices with international participants from other companies. We have brought together very different people and their experiences to be exposed to the latest managerial developments by excellent professors. So our goal was to enable a number of young talents, future company leaders, to benefit fully from this experience.
I hope it helped them grow and eventually discover the business world from a different angle. I hope that what they have learned will make them even more efficient in business, that they will contribute more to change within the company and help us make the company grow in the right direction.”
Eric STAB, GDF Suez Energy, Romania
The Academic Director’s point of view
In January 2014, after the success of the first edition, ESCP Europe hosted the second intake of the ExMP programme organised in Bucharest by CCIFER. This programme fits naturally into the European vocation of ESCP Europe and contributes significantly to strengthing cultural and economic ties with Romania. Like last year, we were able to recruit participants eager for knowledge, highly motivated by the opportunity offered to them to analyse and improve their practices. This willingness to learn, share and participate is universally recognised and appreciated by the faculty at ESCP Europe.
