Ghislain Deslandes is Professor at ESCP Business School (Paris Campus) and a member of the Law, Economics ans Humanities Department (LEH).

Ghislain began his professional career in the press where he stayed for more than ten years before opting for academia. He started his career with Les Echos, before his nomination as chief editor of Diginews. He was then Associate Director of Coplanet/Fi System Group during more than four years and became Chief Internet Editor for EMAP before his nomination as CEO of Worldex Media from 2003 to 2007.

In philosophy, he defended his PhD thesis at Paris I Panthéon-Sorbonne University under the supervision of Bernard Bourgeois. He is the author of many articles and two essays translated in english, Antiphilosophy of Christianity (Springer, 2020) and The Idea of Beginning in Jules Lequier's Philosophy (Lexington Books, 2023). From 2013 to 2019 he was an elected Program Director at the Collège International de Philosophie (Ciph).

In management studies, he graduated from the Executive PhD (ex-EDBA) at Paris Dauphine University where he did his HDR (French post-doctoral qualification for Ph.D. Supervisor). He also received the ITP certification from Kellogg School of Management (Northwestern University) and the GloCall certification from Harvard Business School (Harvard University). 

His research mainly concerns media management and leadership theories revisited from a philosophical perspective. He has published different books in french like Essai sur les données philosophiques du management (PUF, 2013)/FNEGE-EFMD best essay in management, A propos du management et d'un problème plus général (PUF, 2020) or Erotique de l'administration (PUF, 2023), as well as in english (Postcritical Management Studies: Philosophical Investigations, Springer, 2023). His works can be found in different academic journals like European Management JournalEuropean Management ReviewJournal of Media Business StudiesJournal of Business EthicsLeadership, Management LearningOrganization, Organization Studies and Philosophy of Management.
