The Professor was elected to the Executive and Steering Committees of the European Marketing Academy (EMAC), the main association of Marketing academics in Europe.

ESCP Paris campus Professor of Marketing Michael Haenlein will serve as the EMAC’s Vice President, Corporate Relations in the next three years. In this function, he will be responsible for developing relations between the association and the business community, business practitioners and sponsors. He will also be responsible for developing a research agenda that takes the business community’s needs into account. The VP Corporate Relations is a member of the EMAC Steering and Executive Committees, which represent the top leadership group of the European Marketing Academy.
The Executive PhD’s Associate Dean and Big Data Research Center’s Scientific Director was already a Senior Editor at the International Journal of Research in Marketing, one of the EMAC’s publications and one of the major reviews he has published his research work in.

The European Marketing Academy is a professional society for people involved or interested in marketing theory and research. The purpose of EMAC is to provide a society for persons professionally concerned with or interested in marketing theory and research. Its aims are to serve as the core of a communication network for disseminating information and promoting international exchange in the field of marketing. At present, the Academy has over 1,000 members from more than 57 different countries and all five continents.
