In February 2024, the ESCP Women in Finance x Femstory mentoring program launched, connecting female students and young professionals who aspire to a career in finance with seasoned industry experts. Aimed at demystifying the finance sector, the program offers mentees invaluable insights and guidance to navigate their careers effectively.
A great response to the initial call for applications highlighted the pressing need for such initiatives. The first batch consisting of 39 mentoring pairs started their journey with a joint kick-off event of all mentors and mentees on February 15th, 2024. To meet the high level of interest, particularly on the part of the mentees, a second batch will be launched on April 25th, 2024, to ensure that even more young women get the opportunity to benefit from this empowering experience.
The mentorship journey is designed not just as a series of meetings but as a transformative path of professional growth and personal development. Participants are matched based on shared interests and experiences in order to foster meaningful connections. The program not only seeks to guide the next generation of female leaders in the financial sector, but also to reshape the industry's narrative towards greater inclusivity and equity.
