A Professor of strategic management, Bertrand Moingeon holds a PhD in sociology and is a qualified Ph.D. supervisor. A former visiting Professor at Harvard Business School, he published over 100 articles, chapters and books focusing on subjects such as change management, organisational learning, strategic innovation and experience management. His co-authors include Harvard Professor Amy Edmondson and Nobel Peace Prize winner Muhammad Yunus.

He held management positions at HEC Paris as Deputy Director of HEC Executive Education then Deputy Dean in charge of Executive Education and Academic Development. Under his leadership, HEC's Executive Education division developed at a very strong rate: its turnover was multiplied by 15, and it rose from 23rd to 1st place worldwide in the Financial Times ranking between 1998 and 2013. Bertrand Moingeon set up and managed the HEC Indian Ocean, and Southern and Eastern Africa branches. He is also the co-founder and director of the HEC Institute of Europe, chaired by former French Minister Noëlle Lenoir.

With this recruitment, one year after announcing the 2018-2022 strategic plan that shoulders ESCP's financial autonomy in 2022, Frank Bournois, Dean and Executive President of ESCP, wants to take the highly strategic activity of Executive Education of the school to a new level. As a member of the ESCP Executive Committee, Bertrand Moingeon will have federal responsibility and supervise Executive Education operations on the School's six campuses.
